We know it’s going to be a HUGE job to tackle, but we have decided to redo the topsides. The actual job of painting isn’t to difficult if it is sprayed on. The hardest and most time consuming part is the preparation, lots of sanding. Then you sand, and after you sand you sand more. We have “hired” Steve to help with the sanding and prepping. Laurel is back teaching now that winter break is over and we need the help if we want to get out of the boatyard sometime this decade. Preparation also includes removing boot stripes, removing the rub rail and, oh yeah, sanding. We are hoping to get the preparation done for painting and the exhaust thru-hull replaced this weekend.
