It seems like an eternity, but we have finally completed painting both sides of the boat. All the prepping and time put into it really paid off. The shine is unbelievable! We went from a 100 foot boat to a 2 foot boat. That means before we looked good from 100 feet and now we look good from 2 feet. We can finally not be embarrassed with the outside of our boat. There are only a few minor flaws from bugs and dust landing on the wet paint and also the tarp blowing into it. I guess we will have to live with it, lol.

Our neighbors, Denny and Julie, we working on their boat. They are sanding the bottom paint off and were looking pretty cool with their MC Hammer outfits on. They are fixing up their boat to use it for chartering and have possibilities of heading over to New Zealand with it. Denny and Julie are a young, do-it-yourself couple like us that seem to have similar ideas of sailing off into some sort of tropical paradise.
