Alot has changed since we have been back. We got real jobs, moved off the boat and bought a house. Legit landlubbers. Having a house is different, a good different though. We now have a yard to garden in, a hot shower, unlimited power and water, a big soft bed and ample fridge space.
Although we are off the boat we are going to make it a point to still take P Winds out and enjoy her. And that we are. Laurel and I are heading over to the Bahamas for a few weeks. I think we are both really excited to get back to island life. I have thought about our trip every day since we have been back. The blue water, fishing, sailing and uncertainty of whats to come. I think it’s almost a needed respite for me. My brain gets restless and cloudy. I can just hoist the sail, listen to the wind and let everything drift out and release.
Our tentative departure date is next weekend and the plan is to head over to the Abacos. We will explore and spend time in an area that didn’t get the attention it should have from us last time. Wells Bay, Double Breasted and our secret conch spot are awaiting us. Until then it’s just the same ol’ predeparture routine: fix stuff, provision and supply. Stoked…
