Done…

Date

… with the first round of sanding. We got alot done this past weekend. After sanding the entire day Saturday and most of Sunday, we finished sanding off the old paint. I started filling old screw holes and also carving out some cracks in the hull. Apparently there has been quite a few repairs over her lifetime. I guess that makes sense since she was a charter boat for her first few years until she hit a reef and basically sunk. Laurel and I also managed to remove the four thru-hulls we wanted to put backing plates on. They came out fairly easily with the help of the dremel, pipe wrench, grinder and every other tool we possess. Now we just need to make some backing plates and reinstall the thru-hulls.
