Preparations have been made. We are fueled up, we have a plethora of produce and my honey do list is the shortest it’s ever been. You can only prepare so much for something until it just has to be done, or attempted that is. No, scratch that, we ARE doing this. Tarpon Basin worked out to be a perfect place to spend a few days getting every last string tied. I even had some time to install our SOS man overboard system that Michael Richie hooked us up with, rebuilt and cleaned the head and installed latches on the cockpit lockers.
Our agenda is to leave tomorrow morning around 2am from Angelfish Creek. The winds and current should be in our favor and if everything goes to plan, we should arrive in Bimini around lunch time. From our calculations it should be a 10ish hour long crossing. We are heading to Angelfish in an hour or so to try and anchor up inside one of the creeks. There we will cook some food for the crossing, double check that everything is lashed down and then get some rest. Until then I’m not sure how internet will be so keep up with our tracking device and hopefully our next post will be from the Bahamas!!!!
