The last few days have been pretty hectic with Laurel and I running all around town getting last minute items for the voyage. Laurel’s list definitely is different from my list. Her list includes: important things, more important things, bikinis, a few more important things and some other important things. My list includes: fishing tackle, guitars and camera. The boat is doing great so far (knock on teak) being untethered from the umbilical cord of Lubberland. The wind generator seems like it is keeping up with the fridge and doing dishes from bucket of salt water is somewhat therapeutic.
One item we are still waiting on is a new head sail. Bacon Sails, out of Maryland, sent us the wrong one. They were super nice and apologetic about it and have shipped us the correct one. Since we will be heading south on Wednesday, we are having everything shipped to our buddy Matt Guthrie’s house in Lake Worth. Hopefully our packages will have arrived by the time we get there. Also, now on board are our trusty, rusty bikes. We are just about out of room…
